MAKING AMERICA RIZE AGAIN
This film is a creative collaboration shot inside the LA river (the border).
Through dance reminiscent of the krumping choreography in David LaChapelle's documentary Rize, we seek to spark a debate about race, immigration and the worrying political climate and profoundly divisive conversation - or lack of thereof - in the run up to the U.S. Presidential Election.
As immigrants and guests of this country we can't help but question whether a substantial part of the population sees the value of our hard work and our presence here. We're increasingly feeling unwelcome. That's why we feel the need to speak up.
